An LFC Follow-up Story

Star of Lullaby for Columbine Releases Debut CD with Word Entertainment

Rachael Lampa released her long awaited debut CD with Word Entertainment on August 1st titled, "I Will Live For You", and on that same night appeared on the Jay Leno Show. Not a bad start for a fifteen-year-old girl who is just beginning to make her tracks in the music industry - and big tracks many believe she will go on to make!

Since her release, Rachael has appeared on numerous talk shows including the "View" and newspapers including Denver's own Westword which recently did a story on her. This summer, Ms. Lampa also released a CD titled "One" for Pope John Paul II's "World Youth Day" being held this year in Rome where she will be featured in a webcast on August 22nd. The song she recorded for the CD is titled "There Is Still A Dream" featuring her in a duet with Aaron Neville. The CD includes other Christian artists such as Gabriel's Harp, Jaci Velasquez and "Sixpence None The Richer".

So what does Rachael think of her new CD? In a recent story in Contemporary Christian Music Magazine, when asked to review her own album, she humbly responded, "To me, this entire album says that not only does God love us, but He shows it everyday... This album reminds me of all He has done for me, and how I should live my life to give Him the glory He deserves."

All of us at LFC are very proud of Rachael and are very happy for all of the success she deserves. We feel very honored to have played a role in her discovery which began with our CD landing in the hands of Danny Meeker in 1999, producer of "Praise in the Rockies" in Estes Park, Colorado who heard her stellar voice on our flagship song, "We Will Always Remember". Her voice appears along with that of Winston Ford, Sydney Hostetler, and Taylor Mesple' who produced it. We also give much thanks to one of our associate producers, Cindy Marotta, who co-wrote the song and to Stuart Whitmore and Scott Martin who have guided Rachael's voice every step of the way!

Best of luck to you Rachael!
